Judy - You and my mother, Marge, had a lovely visit at the Homestead Museum in Soldotna today.  She enjoyed hearing about your adventures and your writing efforts.  If you need a place to stay on your way back through Soldotna, we would like to offer our spare room in exchange for just a few more stories....  Homer is such a beautiful place, and the people are so interesting that we may not see you for weeks!  - Peggy Mullen

Subject: THANK YOU! :)

Judy,

I know it’s been awhile, but with the end of the school year comes a time of reflection, a time to remember the people who impacted me—and right away I thought of you.
The radio internship was an amazing experience, not only for the skills that I learned, but also for the people I met. Being recognized in public (at the library and at my friend’s grandma’s house) for the sound of my voice was…well, it was pretty darn awesome.

And then there’s you. With all of the goals you’ve accomplished and continue to pursue, you are an inspiration. There aren’t many people who can compare to your passion for life, and I truly admire that. You taught me to always be on my top game, to predict the news and think on my toes. If I can carry that outlook to the rest of my life—which, with you as my role model, I know I can—then I know that I’ll succeed in every goal I set for myself.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, Judy. I’ll never forget a second of that internship.

Sincerely,     Laura

"I am happy and relieved that you and your gun are back home safely..... It is amazing to me that you manage to make it through these trips without getting raped, mugged, or just plain run over...... When you are gone it takes up a lot of my time just praying for you......"
-Sincerely, Mike

"That's what I love about biking. The chance to notice things." --Holly

"I am so thankful I got the opportunity to meet you on Thursday in Crestview. You and your story have left a lasting impression on me. I wrote about meeting you on my blog. Thank you for living life and not just merely existing."

"I decided to subscribe to the Daily News [...] I did find that they covered a lot of sports and politics but told very little about what was really going on with businesses or events in West Bend. I would often times see a store half built and still seen no news coverage revealing the new store. Then came your column!! It is the most informative part of the whole paper, and often times quite entertaining. I have to admit at first I wasn’t crazy about your biking diary, but you won me over and now I look forward to it.
You do an incredible job of informing subscribers of current and upcoming events, new businesses, construction, new signs etc. I look forward to Saturday just to read your column. Thank you for an excellent column!" ~ Charlotte Neumann
